The Incredible Years Parents and Babies program supports parents and their babies in the following ways: Learning how to observe and read babies’ cues and signals. Understanding babies as intelligent learners. Learning about ways to provide physical and tactile stimulation for babies and its importance for brain development. Experts in Action: Baby Program Sessions

These sample sessions are for group leaders who have received the initial training workshop for the Baby Program. These DVD videos can be used for self-study or viewed with other group leaders and used as a trigger for discussion of group leadership skills.

The Incredible Years Parents and Toddlers Program

The Incredible Years Toddler program supports parents and builds optimal parenting skills in the following ways: Learning how child-directed play promotes positive relationships. Understanding how to use emotion coaching to build children’s emotional vocabulary and encourage their expression of feelings. Building children’s self-esteem through praise and encouragement. Understanding how to set up programs for problems such as dressing, compliance, sharing, eating, going to bed, toilet training and gentle animal care. Parents maintaining self-control using calm-down strategies and positive self-talk. And more!
