There is a lot of great information in this document
(high
fidelity article) regarding the
certification/accreditation requirements, in light of
the updates/revisions to the parenting programs over the
past three years. Highlights include: new timeline for
accepting paperwork from the previous versions of the
programs, rationale for longer number of sessions,
research information about dosage while implementing EBP
and the impact on outcomes. Let us know your questions.
We are excited that also many of you are coming to
Seattle in September! Our 10th mentor meeting
anniversary!
You should have received an email from Lisa regarding
the arrangements at the hotel – but here is the
information again:
Meeting dates: 8 & 9 September 2011
Location: Seattle, WA
The Alexis Hotel, downtown near the waterfront
Details
1. We will have a registration fee same as Vancouver
- $225. This is the registration for the meeting itself,
and will include dinner on Friday night (minus alcohol).
2. We have a reserved block of rooms at the Alexis
Hotel - the singles are $165 each and there are a
limited number of doubles for $185 for those who would
like to share.
You will need to book your rooms earlier than June
24th (a Friday) to get the room rate. They are offering
this rate to our participants for the three days prior
to the workshop and also for three days afterward,
should you like to extend your stay here. (Overnight
parking at the hotel is $36... everything is in walking
distance and/or you can share cabs.)
If you are not able to secure your room at the Alexis
by the deadline, getting a room there will depend on
whether they have sold their remaining rooms to other
parties. Also, they will not guarantee the lower rate
after the deadline either, as I understand this. So all
in all, it's better to get your room reserved ASAP!
You can reserve directly by phoning 1-206-516-5097 or
1-800-546-7866. You must request the Incredible Years
room block to ensure we are credited with filling the
rooms with our participants, and for you to get the
lower rate.
Best, Carolyn
